My name is Andrea Durighello, I am a 21-French woman currently doing a Master’s degree in International Relations and European Studies at the University of Kent (UK). I have always been concerned about environmental issues and have tried to promote ecological values in my day-to-day life. I am currently involved in a green project within my University which aims at making staff and students aware that small actions are a good basis in the way to a more-environmentally friendly society.
I am convinced that small-scale actions matter. In addition to my University project, I was also awarded a Fulbright scholarship for a 5-week Summer Institute on environmental Stewardship in the United States in summer 2011. At the end of the Institute, I presented a project on water pollution before the US State Department.
