 Trainer  Event producer with sustainability expertise Country: San Franciso California USA Years experience in sustainable event practice: 10 Details of experience: Beverly Oviedo, MIST, CMP is a certified meeting professional and founder of Sustainable Solutions by Design, a company developed to help organizations integrate sustainable practices into their organizational culture. Ms. Oviedo’s credits are international as well as national. As an international keynote speaker, she presented on Sustainable Development at Peking University’s Conference in 2009, which celebrated China’s 30th year of opening up to the world. She has co-authored an online sustainability text, webinars, workshops, and educational sessions . Articles published include waste management in HSMAI Meeting Planners Guidebook for 2008 and a co-authored model to embed CSR into the organizational culture by the International Society of Performance in the Workplace (ISPI). In addition, she participated as a panelist in sessions related to “How a Hotel Qualifies to be Green” in Dallas, TX, in 2008, and a session on waste management for the GMIC at its annual conference in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2009. In Spring 2010, she was a co-presenter of a workshop for students, Future Leaders Forum, for the GMIC in Denver, Colorado, sponsored by IMEX.
