[Torino – Piemonte] The new Juventus F.C. stadium is under construction, and it is expected to be finished by 2011. The new facility will have an impact on urban development of exceptional magnitude. Born on the ashes of the historical Delle Alpi, the new facility  will be inserted in the middle of a large district of Turin upgrading a large area of the city: the huge shopping area, public green spaces and car parks, make the area a true entertainment hub of the city, available not only to supporters even on no-match days. The new stadium not only meets architectural design or football needs: the core of the project is also environment eco-friendly. The use of measures that ensure low impact on construction site on the city is accompanied by the use of the most advanced technologies environmentally sustainable. The project aims to minimize energy consumption from non renewable sources: through the adoption of innovative technologies can improve energy efficiency by avoiding waste and optimizing resources. As well for routine tasks - from heating to irrigation on the field - the new stadium will use fully ecological strategies and alternative energy sources. Also for the dismantling of the old Stadio Delle Alpi were observed rigorous sustainable criteria. All materials produced from dismantling the old plant have been recovered and reused on the new site or in other nearby sites, a true work of total recycling, which reduced costs, avoided waste and reduced disposal problems. Roma [Lazio] The Fiera di Roma Solar Plant Using new technology solutions Fiera di Roma and Green Utility Spa have installated the largest photovoltaic system in Thin Films in the world, covering approximately 38,000 square feet of roofs of the halls of the new Fiera di Roma. In addition to produce 1.7 million kWh/year, equivalent to annual electricity consumption of over 600 families, for an investment of about Eur 12 million, the plant will prevent the emission into the atmosphere of 1200 tonnes / year of CO2 . This is possible thanks to the use of a particular type of photovoltaic panel known as THIN FILM ", which thanks to its flexibility and weight compared to traditional photovoltaic panels, has made possible the realization of a photovoltaic system with fully integrated with the innovative architecture of Fiera di Roma. L’energia rinnovabile sbarca al nuovo polo fieristico di Roma Utilizzando soluzioni tecnologiche di nuova concezione, Green Utility SpA ha realizzato, in accordo con Investimenti SpA, il più grande impianto fotovoltaico a Thin Film in Italia ed uno dei più grandi esistente al mondo coprendo circa 38.000 metri quadri di tetti dei padiglioni del nuovo polo fieristico di Roma. Oltre a produrre 1,8 milioni di kWh/anno, pari al consumo elettrico annuo di oltre 600 famiglie, per un investimento di circa 10 milioni di euro, l’impianto consentirà di evitare l’emissione nell’atmosfera di 1.000.000 Kg/anno di CO2.
