SEMS is a sustainability framework that allows you to integrate responsible business practice into your events enabling business excellence.

SEMS is an easy to use online sustainable event management system, consistent with global standards (ISO 20121) and global best practice. It teaches you how to plan, organize, measure and report upon the "green" performance of your event or meeting.

SEMS products include and introductory and advanced tool, an interactive policy wizard, audits and SEMS calculators for energy, waste, water, travel and transport.

A certification program will follow later this year.


The SEA recognises and endorses SEMS and any SEA member events that have successfully completed SEMS are eligible to use the SEA membership logo in association with their event as a demonstration of commitment to improved sustainability performance.
