Event professionals are feeling an increasing expectation to understand and include sustainability in event planning and execution, and along with the introduction of new industry standards and reporting protocols we believe joining the SEA will help you navigate this new and important challenge.
The SEA offers members a pathway to understanding sustainability issues in event planning and delivery. The SEA is tailor made for individual event industry practitioners and those studying in the field. It is suitable for those who currently understand and embed sustainability into their work practice, and for those who are beginning the journey and need help understanding sustainability and how to apply it in their job.
The SEA website has a knowledge bank of resources and how-to guides, brings suppliers and event planners together through a growing database of sustainable solutions providers, and offers a portal for networking and discussion around sustainable event management issues.
Membership includes formalising your commitment to sustainability through our membership charter and you are able to demonstrate that commitment through use of our membership logo where applicable.
Membership fees are modest and are graded on whether you are working in the commercial, government or not for profit sectors.
Before you register as a member you must read and agree to the SEA membership charter. This Charter is a defining a set of principles to which members agree to, upon joining the Sustainable Event Alliance, and commit to indefinitely when working actively within the industry.
To proceed with your membership an annual fee is paid via PayPal. This process includes filling out the membership form and receiving a member log in to the SEA website. It gives you full access to the supplier database, how-to guides and other resources on the website.
