SEA Membership

We invite you to become a member of the Sustainable Event Alliance choosing one of the different categories of membership:

Membership Charter

Before you register as a member of the Sustainable Event Alliance, we ask you to read and accept the Membership Charter. This charter defines a set of principles accepted by the members who commit to respect them during the course of their activities.

Membership Payment

Membership is subject to an annual membership fee payable via Paypal. The process involves filling out the registration form and receiving the membership log-in to access the SEA website. Within the site you will have full access to the database of suppliers, guides and other resources. Paypal also offers the option to pay by credit card. If neither of these options are possible for you, please contact us.

Individual Membership

For individuals who are engaged to produce events or supply solutions to the event industry. This can be as a member of the workforce or as a consultant, trainer or other knowledge specialist in sustainability in event management and its supply chain.

INDIVIDUALS | NGO/Not For Profit

US$50

Membership is for a person who is primarily employed, contracted or otherwise engaged by a NGO, not for profit or charitable organisation.

  • One website username login is provided.
  • The individual may display the SEA logo in association with their professional identity.
  • You may apply to be an SEA Accredited Professional.

Step 1: Agree to the SEA Membership Charter

INDIVIDUALS | Corporate/Govt

US$75

Membership is for a person who is primarily employed, contracted or otherwise engaged by a corporation, company, business or government.

  • One website username login is provided.
  • The individual may display the SEA logo in association with their professional identity.
  • You may apply to be an SEA Accredited Professional.

Step 1: Agree to the SEA Membership Charter

INDIVIDUALS | Student Member

US$25

For people who are studying event management, or a sustainability discipline, and are currently not employed full time in the event industry.

  • One website username login is provided.
  • The individual may not display the SEA logo in association with their professional identity.

Organisation Membership

For individuals who are engaged to produce events or supply solutions to the event industry. This can be as a member of the workforce or as a consultant, trainer or other knowledge specialist in sustainability in event management and its supply chain.

Organisation Membership

US$100

Membership is for professional event organising/production companies, government, organisations or companies producing multiple events annually.

  • One website login is provided.
  • One person from the organisation may apply to be an SEA Accredited Professional.
  • Membership logo can be displayed in association with the organisation.
  • Membership logo can be displayed in association with TWO EVENTS annually.
  • Additional events displaying the logo must join the SEA at US$50 each.

Suppliers Membership

US$100

For an organisation that is offering materials, products, equipment or services to the event industry. These suppliers run their businesses sustainably, and/or offer a solution/product/service which aims to improve the sustainability performance of an event.

  • One website username login is provided
  • Listing in the s.Supplier Database
  • SEA membership logo can be used after proof of sustainability credentials are provided

Venue Membership

US$100

For a venue which host events and are sustainability built and/or operated.

  • One website username login is provided
  • Listing in the s.Venue Finder
  • SEA membership logo can be used after proof of sustainability credentials are provided

Event Membership

For individual events who wish to use the SEA logo in association with the event.

Events Level 1

US$100

For an event with less than 10 000 attendees; or an master event with up to five sub-events annually not exceeding 10 000 attendees in total; or any not-for-profit event regardless of size:

  • One website username login is provided.
  • SEA membership logo use is allowed for up to five individual events totalling no more than 10 000 attendees.
  • Event is listed on the SEA website as a member.
  • You may put one person forward to apply to be an SEA Accredited Professional.

Step 1: Agree to the SEA Membership Charter

Events Level 2

US$200

For a single event with 10 000 to 100 000 attendees, or master event with up to five sub-events annually not exceeding 100 000 attendees in total;

  • Three website username logins are provided.
  • Event is listed on the SEA website as a member.
  • You may put one person forward to apply to be an SEA Accredited Professional.
  • SEA membership logo is allowed for up to five events totalling no more than 100 000 attendees.

Step 1: Agree to the SEA Membership Charter

Events Level 3

US$300

For an event with more than 100 000 attendees, or a master event producing up to five sub-events annually exceeding 100 000 attendees in total;

  • Five website username logins are provided.
  • Event is listed on the SEA website as a member.
  • You may put one person forward to apply to be an SEA Accredited Professional.
  • SEA membership logo use is allowed for up to five individual events totalling more than 100 000 attendees

Step 1: Agree to the SEA Membership Charter

Additional Events

US$50

For organisations wishing to join individual events to the Events Sustainability Roadmap and use the SEA membership logo in association with the event. Organisation producing up to five events annually exceeding 100 000 attendees in total.
