Understand and apply the principles of sustainable development including inclusivity, transparency, stewardship and integrity. Understand and apply the Sustainable Development Goals.

Planning and strategy

Know how to establish an event sustainability management system framework, including the procedures, processes and documentation for implementation. Understand and identify event sustainability issues and how to prioritise them for action. Understand and identify the relevant legal and regulatory requirements which relate to sustainability issues and impacts. Awareness of best practice in the event industry internationally. Create an Event Sustainability Policy.

Stakeholders and Engagement

Identifying and engaging event sustainability stakeholders. Understanding their needs and expectations. Inclusion and participation of these stakeholders.
