Ginny Stratton is Principal of Strategin Solutions, a Vancouver based boutique consultancy specializing in sustainable event management. Ginny brings more than a decade of experience in the design and delivery of sustainability management strategies to event and broadcast production. Since 2006, she has worked with numerous large scale international events to integrate economic, social, and environmental considerations into all aspects of planning and production. Her holistic approach to sustainability management produces measurable results in terms of resource consumption and waste generation, socially and environmentally responsible purchasing, greenhouse gas management, and the creation of legacy impacts. Her efforts have garnered recognition for clients through awards including the IMEX Gold Green Meeting Award and the VANOC Sustainability Star amongst others.

Ginny is committed to advancing best practice in sustainability management throughout the event industry. Currently, Ginny is involved with the development of sustainable event management standards at both the national and international levels. She sits on the Technical Committee responsible for the Canadian Standards Association standard, CSA Z2010, and she is Vice Chair for the Canadian Advisory Committee contributing to development of the international standard, ISO 20121. In addition, Ginny is the Country Coordinator, Canada for the Sustainable Event Alliance.
